Pearl Harbor Attack Images

Pearl Harbor is a harbor on the island of O'ahu, Hawaii, west of Honolulu. Much of the harbor and surrounding lands is a United States Navy deep-water naval base. It is also the headquarters of the U.S. Pacific Fleet. On December 7, 1941, Japan attacked on Pearl Harbor and caused severe damage.
The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise air strike against the United States' naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii by the Japanese navy, on the morning of Sunday, December 7, 1941. This attack resulted in the United States becoming a participant in World War II. The Japanese intended that the attack would be a preventive action to remove the US Pacific Fleet as a factor in the war Japan was about to wage against Britain, France, the United States, and the remaining Allies.
The attack on Pearl Harbor consisted of two aerial attack waves, totaling 353 aircraft. These were launched from six Japanese aircraft carriers.
The attack wrecked two U.S. Navy battleships, one mine layer, and two destroyers beyond repair. It also destroyed 188 aircraft; and personnel losses were 2,388 killed and 1,178 wounded. Damaged warships included three cruisers, a destroyer, and six battleships.
During this attack, Japanese losses were minimal, with only 29 aircrafts, 5 midget submarines and 65 servicemen lost.

If I'm not mistaken, one aircraft carrier was limping out heavily damaged in the Pearl Harbour attack but all the websites that I've visited says none carrier was damaged, strange. I could have sworn that when I was a little guy, I read it in an encyclopedia that said Yorktown was heavily limping out of Pearl Harbour.

Mostly when different encyclopedias state the same thing then it is correct, ya?

One hunch, check when the particular article on Pearl Harbour was updated and check with the old article.
